The decision by brothers Jonathan David Peters and Chad Ellis Peters to start their own catering company happened almost overnight. When a close friend asked Jonathan and Chad to cater a charity event in her home, they had just left another catering company. Following her advice, the brothers combined their middle names to create a formal company name and instantly launched David Ellis Events. The new enterprise delivered an incredible experience at this very first event that would set the tone for more than two decades of amazing celebrations.
Now among the most sought-after caterers in the tri-state area, David Ellis Events is still very much a family business as Jonathan and Chad are the exact opposite of behind-the-scenes owners. In fact, one or both brothers attend almost every event.
Jonathan focuses on private client events, such as weddings, milestone birthdays, and fundraising galas. He personally visits client homes and venues for walk-throughs and oversees the Floral and Décor Department and office staff. Chad, the original David Ellis executive chef, continues to bring his culinary influence to every event. In addition to collaborating with the chef team to continuously improve our cuisine, Chad oversees the corporate catering and logistics teams. Both brothers regularly travel to restaurants, hotels, and event venues around the world to gain new perspectives on food, service, and design.
Jonathan and Chad have created a culture in which every event is an opportunity to amaze a new group of people. With every dish, every cocktail, every dance, and every interaction with guests, the collective goal of the David Ellis team is to make your event even more amazing.
